Design Process Collaboration

Creating your residential landscape may be an expensive undertaking but proper design and execution will add significant value to your property. Planning the project with Clients is a collaborative process and should not be rushed.

I’m Jill Yuzwa of Qualicum Landscape Design and I will walk you through the design and implementation process - step by step. Late fall is the perfect time to prepare for the 2027 construction season.

Woman building a Japanese garden with shovels, plants, rocks, soil, and a wheelbarrow. Qualicum Beach, British Columbia.
Sunlit modern landscape architectural studio with wooden worktables, drafting plans, scale models, exposed timber beams, and a textured stone partition. Oceanside, British Columbia.

After graduating from Guelph’s Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program in 1985 I worked with the ‘grandparent’ firms of the profession in Northern California’s Bay Area and in Orange County.

I am now focused on creating residential landscapes mid-Vancouver Island.

Having just completed construction of a four garden Japanese-inspired project in Qualicum Beach (complete with Karesansui) I am available for late 2026 Client bookings.
